First exhibited at Purdue University North Central for the Odyssey Cultural Series 2006-07, Star Pointer made a strong visual impact on the open plain, two hundred and sixty-eight acre campus in Indiana. The piece was the largest and a favorite among the twenty-four sculptures included in the exhibition. A year later Star Pointer was installed at the Sarasota, Florida Bayfront for the Fourth Sarasota Season of Sculpture exhibition. The piece has remained on the Bayfront where it was sited for The Peninsula Project.

The first monumental scale work in the Falling Card Series, Star Pointer’s  slab elements create an observatory-like enclosure with a single element pointing into space.  Sarasota Season of Sculpture worked with the City of Sarasota to allow for an extended stay on the Bayfront.
